Serving the nation in uniform. Serving the community as a banker.
For eight years Matt Largent served the nation as a Marine. As he neared the end of his enlistment, he got an unexpected call from City National Bank of Lawton, Oklahoma. “To say I was stunned would be an understatement,” said Matt. City National asked if Matt might consider a career in banking. Thirteen years later, Matt is a Vice President at the bank, which has enthusiastically supported his continued service in the National Guard. According to Matt, “you can be a hero and build something amazing as a banker.”
After a longtime customer lost his spouse, who'd handled the family finances, Kristine at Old National Bank of Evansville, IN, reached out. She helped him organize his financial life and get up to speed on his financial responsibilities moving forward. For Kristine, a career in banking means a commitment that goes well beyond the walls of her office.
Hometown Bank in Kent, OH, helped turn a community eyesore into a community asset. The bank transformed a vacant lot into a new park and bandstand that helped revitalize the downtown area.
Robin Richey of FirstCapital Bank of Texas redefined “customer service,” by checking up on an elderly customer daily. The customer, who’d outlived most of her friends and family, lived alone and worried she’d be forgotten. Robin continued her daily contacts with the customer for more than 10 years.

Expanding a Passion
When Josh Pratt set out to further his dream of owning a community fitness center by expanding his facility, Savings Institute Bank & Trust—with branches in Connecticut and Rhode Island—listened to his goals and delivered a commercial loan to help him do just that. Today, Just Performance Fitness is a nearly 12,000 square foot facility that serves Danielson, Conn., and surrounding communities with the same drive and commitment the bank provided to Pratt.

Greta Ismael, owner of Econo-med Pharmacy in Cherokee Village, Ark., trusted FNBC to help her realize not just the purchase of the pharmacy from her father, but also a second business pursuit.
Sound Community Bank made it possible for us to begin our new dream and business adventure. The Elwha Dam RV Park not only provides a future for our family, but we contribute to our local community. Each and every banker we work with has been helpful, kind and professional. They go the extra mile in their service, and make us feel at home when we walk through the doors.

I’m a commercial real estate agent and just visited [Franklin’s] Merrimack branch for the first time. While I’ve worked with one of your commercial loan officers for a few years now--and she is nothing but spectacular to work with--I am pleased to say that I’m incredibly impressed with not only the new building location and design, but your team as well.

I can’t say enough how much I love Glenview State Bank--from real people answering the phone to the excellent customer service I receive. I needed to refinance a loan, and it was a stressful time for me, and GSB went above and beyond with reminders and superb service. Many other banks and establishments could learn a lot from you. Please keep it up!

Thirty years ago Chesapeake Bank welcomed me as if I were family. Today, after an absence of more than 20 years, I can Skype the bank and conduct business from another country as if I were there. Being hard of hearing and an IT imbecile, the bank is my savior. The bank staff are super efficient, kind and patient, and they make banking a pleasure.
